About this safari
Can you combine a proper safari with a real beach rest? Yes. You spend ten days on safari and four days on Diani Beach.
The safari follows the same route as our Southern Kenya Highlights tour. The longer finish on the coast means you fly home rested rather than straight off a game drive.
Day by day
Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi
We meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Lake Naivasha
Take a boat trip on the lake, then walk on Crescent Island.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru
Look for flamingos and rhinos in the park.
Day 4: To the Maasai Mara
Enjoy a scenic drive to the reserve, followed by an afternoon game drive.
Day 5: A full day in the Mara
Spend the whole day in the reserve on game drives.
Day 6: Mara morning, then Nairobi
Choose between a hot-air balloon safari and a morning game drive. Then you return to Nairobi.
Day 7: To Amboseli
You drive to Amboseli and go out on safari in the afternoon.
Day 8: A full day in Amboseli
Watch the elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background.
Day 9: To Tsavo East
You travel to Tsavo East and head out on a game drive in the afternoon.
Day 10: Tsavo East, then Diani Beach
Start with a morning game drive, then continue to the coast.
Days 11 to 13: Diani Beach
Swim, rest on the sand, or add an optional excursion.
Day 14: Fly home
We transfer you to the airport for your flight.
