About this safari
Do you want to watch the herds cross the river? This tour puts you in the northern Serengeti near the Mara River for two full days. It then moves to the central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Tarangire and Lake Manyara are on the route too. For the best chance at the crossings, travel between July and September.
Day by day
Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro
We transfer you to Arusha.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Go on a game drive among the elephants and baobabs.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Look out for flamingos, pelicans and the park's tree-climbing lions.
Day 4: To the northern Serengeti
On the way north you pass the Ngorongoro viewpoint.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti
Spend a full day on game drives around the Mara River.
Day 6: Northern Serengeti
A second full day lets you watch the herds and the river crossings.
Day 7: Central Serengeti
You transfer to Seronera, with a game drive on the way.
Day 8: Central Serengeti
Today is another full day of game drives.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater and spend the full day on its floor.
Day 10: Departure
You drive to Arusha. If you like, you can stop at Mto wa Mbu village on the way. Then we transfer you to the airport.
