Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve lies in the Karamoja region, south of Kidepo. The landscape mixes open savannah, rocky outcrops and dry riverbeds.
Game drives look for roan antelope, zebra and ostrich; the reserve is also a place to see Karamojong cattle culture. Visitor numbers are low and facilities are basic.
