Jinja and the Source of the Nile
Jinja sits on the Nile, about two hours east of Kampala. The Source of the Nile is marked just outside town, where the river leaves Lake Victoria.
The town is also the base for rafting, kayaking and bungee jumping, and for boat trips to the source. It is a common first or last stop on an eastern route.
