What you can expect before, during and after a trip.
Most safari complaints are not about wildlife. They are about a permit that was not secured, a lodge that was not booked, or a price that grew after payment. We plan around those risks.
These are the questions we answer most often before a booking.
Are you licensed?
Ateker Safaris is a Uganda-based operator working with licensed guides and registered lodges. Ask us for current licence details before you book.
Who guides the trips?
Ugandan guides who work the parks year-round. Trekking and park activities are led by UWA-certified rangers and guides.
What happens if a permit is unavailable?
We tell you before you pay. If your preferred date is full, we offer another date or another route rather than confirming a permit we do not hold.
How do payments work?
Payment terms are set out in your booking documents and invoice. Card and bank transfer are accepted; bank charges and currency conversion fees are the client’s.
What about travel insurance?
Travel insurance is required and is not included in any trip. It should cover cancellation, medical costs and emergency evacuation for the full duration of the trip.
